Scenic Roots

The Southern Regional Dulcimer Championships were held in Mountain View, Arkansas on April 24th. The Rogers family came away with heads held high as Amber placed fourth in the hammered division and Erin placed second in the mountain contest. They also did well in the ensemble competition performing with various friends in multiple combinations! Much jamming took place; too bad it rained every day & night or more outdoor picking would have happened. Our truck was loaded heavy returning home with the trophies and several new instruments. We picked up a penny whistle, open back banjo, harp, and another mountain dulcimer to add to our collection. Hopefully these will soon be appearing in our concerts.
